About Us

Our History

NuLyphe Performing Arts started as a Dance Summer Institute under the direction of Lezlie Christian in 2018. The program was offered to high school students striving to meet requirements needed to apply for the GRAD Cincinnati Scholarship. In 2019, Mrs. Patricia Stewart Adams, the Executive Director of GRAD Cincinnati, asked Lezlie to give Dance Summer Institute a unique name. The name NuLyphe derives from the meaning of Ms. Christian’s middle name – René. René means rebirth; rebirth represents new life in the arts and new life on stage.

Our Vision

To establish a Trauma-Sensitive fine arts organization that promotes artistic development, academic achievement, and socio-emotional strength, ultimately connecting artists with opportunities to obtain employment as performing artists.

Our Mission

We are a non-profit performing arts organization that teaches young artists to create and produce original works in the performing arts of dance, theater, stage production, and scriptwriting while training to pursue the performing arts as a profession.
